45 years ago, the 29-3 Textile Complex, the “first child” of Quang Nam - Da Nang province was born. 45 years of undergoing ups and downs from a complex established on March 29, 1976 to a joint venture company in November 1978 and to a state-owned company on April 30, 1984 and becoming a joint stock company in March 29, 2007. Every event, every timeline, the company has grown up in both quantity and quality.
Looking back 45 years, 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company cannot forget to those who have contributed to creating the shape and nurturing the company. Those are the people who made the 29/3 historic to give us the chance to come up with the 29/3 Textile Complex. That also thanks for the attention of leaders of Quang Nam - Da Nang (former) province, of Da Nang city, central and local departments, branches, friends and colleagues, shareholders' relatives, officials…; moreover, employees have strived tirelessly; The top leaders of the Party and State have received words of encouragement and thoughtful reminders when they visited the company.
On March 29, 1985, on the 10th anniversary of the complete liberation of Quang Nam - Da Nang, when visiting the 29-3 Textile Enterprise, Comrade Le Duan, General Secretary of the Party Central Committee wrote in the traditional yellow book:
“From a complex to a state-owned enterprise, a state-of-the-art unit of local industry in Quang Nam - Da Nang is a great and exciting progress of the 29-3 Textile Factory. I warmly commend all the officers and workers who have contributed to that rapid growth. Wishing you all to promote the tradition of March 29 and the spirit of collective ownership of socialist, strive to expand production, achieve higher productivity, quality, efficiency, contributing to building Quang Nam - Da Nang will soon become a strong agricultural and industrial province”.
When the country began to reform, the enterprise also began to be self-reliant in production and business. During a visit to the company on February 18, 1989, Comrade Nguyen Van Linh, General Secretary of the Party Central Committee wrote in the traditional yellow book:
“I am very pleased to visit the 29-3 Textile Enterprise, where the new economic management mechanism is initially effective. Obviously, since the abolition of bureaucratic centralization, subsidy, strong shift to business accounting, and delegating the initiative to the establishment, the enterprise has achieved remarkable achievements in many fields.
The factory was expanded, added more modern machinery and equipment, improved products, favored by customers, increased income for officers and employees. In the immediate future, the struggle for self-financing, self-development, modernization, firmly occupying the world market and further raising the income for employees as well as contributing more to the State budget is over hardship.
This struggle requires the collective officials, employees and factory leaders more dynamism, creativity, daring to think and daring to do.
With that spirit, I hope the factory has made a good effort, striven better to deserve the advanced model of the textile industry in Quang Nam - Da Nang ".
After equitization, visiting 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company on March 8, 2009, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong at that time as a member of the Politburo, Chairman of the National Assembly, now General Secretary, the State President has written in the traditional gold book:
“I am very pleased to visit and work with 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company right on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang, 33 years of establishment of the company.
I would like to warmly congratulate the collective of the company's officers and employees during the past 33 years, contributing to the prestige and honor of the Textile; Joint State- Private Enterprise; 29/3 State Textile Machinery ; 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company; and contributing to the rich and beautiful homeland heroic Da Nang.
May Comrades and all of you continue to unite, uphold the traditions and existing experiences, build the company for more and more sustainable development”.
On March 8, 2016, when visiting the company, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recorded in the traditional golden book:
“Excited with the outstanding and comprehensive success of 29/3 Textile Joint Stock Company, wish you all in a new era, in the period of deep international integration of Vietnam, the company continues to promote the tradition at the forefront of production and business development, achieve productivity, quality and efficiency, lead the textile industry in Vietnam”.
And there are many encouraging and considerate directions of the leaders of the Central Government, local leaders, ministries and branches recorded in the traditional gold book as great encouragement to increase perseverance of officials and workers in the face of seemingly difficult difficulties to overcome.
In 1991, the difficulties of the world political and economic situation affected the company's export of cotton towels (down about 60%). But with determination and action, officials and workers lent money to the factory to restructure production, invest more in the garment sector, and stabilize jobs for workers.
29/3 Textile Factory was changed to 29/3 Textile Company, with the right to import and export directly. In 2020, the epidemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus affected the world, and the veston market in European countries and the United States cannot be consumed. Two veston factories at the company that invested nearly 150 billion VND had to suspend operations.
But with tireless efforts, General Director of the company, Pham Thi Xuan Nguyet together with professional staff looking for new customers, product auction online, online negotiations with customers have promptly kept the pace. production level and retained workers.
Facing the labor pressure of difficulty in recuiting in the city, the company invested in Duy Trung Garment Factory in Tay An industrial cluster, Duy Trung commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province, attracting 700 employees. This factory was granted a Green Factory certificate by Vietnam Green Council in August 2020. According to the plan for the period 2020-2025, the company will continue to invest in phase 2 of Duy Trung Garment Factory with 2,000 employees.
Looking back 45 years, if in the first 30 years, the factory was small in a residential area with noise, dust and difficult wastewater treatment conditions affecting the living environment of the people, the relocation the company in 2006 left the old premises associated with Co.op Mart to form a large supermarket to serve the people, creating a bustling street on Dien Bien Phu street, the gateway to the city. It is considered a tribute project to the people when the company relocates to the planned location at 60 Me Nhu Street.
After equitizing on March 29, 2007, the Board of Directors proposed the action slogan "Our company is not the biggest but determined to strive to become one of the most prestigious units" That is reputation in the community, reputation with customers, reputation within the company. Therefore, in the plan to 2025, the company will complete the Green Factory standards in both areas in Duy Xuyen (Quang Nam) and Da Nang with a scale of 6,000 employees and an export turnover of over 100 million.
